I first visited China on a day trip from Hong Kong and Macao, in March of 1991 traveling with a friend, prior to Hong Kong and Macao being reintegrated back in to China.

In June and July of 2002, I spent four weeks in China. I lived at Shanghai University and studied at the College of International Exchange. Besides Shanghai, I also visited Hang Zhou and Su Zhou.
